Volunteers Volunteers are a vital
part of the Tauranga SPCA. Without the dedication and commitment from
our The nature of volunteer work at the Tauranga SPCA is that it requires a compassionate nature with a willingness to give with minimal personal reward other than knowing that you are helping creatures that can’t help themselves. The following is a brief description of the work our volunteer teams carry out. Cat Care: Under the supervision of a team leader the tasks include feeding the cats and cleaning the cat areas. This can mean washing dishes, hanging out washing, grooming cats etc. Dog Care: Under the supervision of a team leader the tasks are mostly feeding the dogs and cleaning the dog kennels. This can mean washing dishes, hanging out washing, grooming dogs etc. Trade Skills: We are always in need of volunteers with qualifications in the following trades: Electrical; Building; Plumbing; and Painting. Dog Squad: Members of the Dog Squad with their friendly dogs collect money and raise the profile of the SPCA. Fundraising: Volunteer fundraiser’s belong to a group of people that help with various fundraising activities. Activities include the Annual Appeal Street Collection.
